About Roof Repair Amarillo
A no-cost, local referral service. Not a roofing contractor.
Who we are
Roof Repair Amarillo is a no-cost referral service for homeowners, renters, and property owners in and around Amarillo, Texas. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform roofing work ourselves. When you send us a request, we connect you with an independent local roofing contractor that serves your area, and that provider contacts you directly. Texas does not have a statewide roofing contractor license. Inside Amarillo city limits, roofing contractors must register with the city; check current rules on the City of Amarillo Building Safety roofing page, ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation, and get a written contract before hiring.
Why this site exists
Every big Panhandle hailstorm brings a wave of door knockers and confusing advice about insurance, and Texas has no statewide roofing license to lean on. Our goal is to publish clear, local information about storm damage, checking a roofer, and how claims usually work, and to give Amarillo-area homeowners one easy way to reach a local roofer without being passed around to a dozen businesses.
How the referral works
- Tell us what happened. Fill out the short form with your city and what's going on with your roof.
- We connect you. We pass your request to one independent local roofer who covers your area.
- Get an inspection and estimate. The roofer contacts you, inspects the roof, and gives you a written estimate.
- You decide. Check the roofer, talk with your insurer if needed, and hire only if it's right for you. No obligation.
What we promise, and what we don't
- Using this site costs you nothing. Providers, not homeowners, support the service.
- We share your request with one independent local provider, not a long list of companies.
- We do not do the work, set prices, or guarantee any provider's work. The provider you hire is responsible for its license, permits, insurance, estimate, and workmanship.
- We don't publish made-up customer stories, invented statistics, or made-up credentials.
- We never promise insurance coverage, and we don't give insurance or legal advice.
Protect yourself when hiring
Texas does not license roofing contractors statewide. Inside Amarillo, confirm the roofer is registered with the city through the City of Amarillo Building Safety roofing page, and make sure a permit is pulled when required. Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation, a verifiable local address, and a written contract that names the products, scope, payment schedule, and warranty. Don't pay a large amount upfront. It is illegal in Texas for a contractor to waive or pay your insurance deductible; see the Texas Department of Insurance guidance.
