Use the contact form and write "Complaint" in the message. Include the date, the city, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge complaints within a few business days and tell you what we will do about them.
Complaints about a provider
Roof Repair Amarillo doesn't perform the work, so disputes about pricing, workmanship, scheduling, or damage are between you and the provider, under your agreement with it. We still want to hear about it:
- Contact the provider first. Put your concern in writing and keep copies of estimates, contracts, invoices, photos, and messages.
- Tell us. Let us know which provider it was and what happened. We look into concerns and may stop sending requests to providers who don't treat homeowners fairly.
- Use official channels if needed.
- Roofing contractors: Texas does not have a statewide roofing license, so there is no state licensing board for roofers. Inside Amarillo, City of Amarillo Building Safety handles roofing contractor registration and permits; see its roofing information page. Other cities have their own building offices.
- Deceptive practices and scams: the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division accepts complaints, including offers to waive or pay an insurance deductible. Use the Texas Attorney General consumer complaint page.
- Insurance questions: the Texas Department of Insurance helps consumers with insurer and claim problems and explains roof scam rules.
- Emergencies: for anything unsafe, call 911 or your utility.
